Introduced in 2006, the Hardknock was an instant hit with motorcycle customizers and fabricators across America. Designed in a traditional old school frisco style, the Hardknock bobber was an inexpensive kit featuring quality components including a TIG welded frame, forward controls, jockey shift, springer forks, but with no plastic parts. It could be ordered in an endless number of variations, with many options and accessories. Enthusiasts of the Hardknock soon formed an owner’s group on the internet which can be found at www.hardknockforum.com. Thus, the Knock Knation was born. Many “Knockers”, as they are known, own 2, 3 and even 4 Hardknocks, giving us a brand loyalty like no other. However, since the Hardknock was sold as a kit, it could only be enjoyed by bike builders in the United States where people have the freedom to build their own motorcycle. As the Hardknock evolved, first from a 49/110cc, then 200cc, finally to a V-Twin 250cc, so did the interest in a version for Europe and elsewhere in the world. That dream has now been realized.
In the Fall of 2011, after 3 years of development, EC-Type approval was given to the Hardknock bobber motorcycle. It will soon be available throughout Europe. Instead of a kit, the type-approved Hardknock arrives at your door fully built and comes with a 2 year warranty. With true classic American styling and quality, the Hardknock is expected to be as big of a success in Europe as it has been in the states. A multitude of available options and accessories will give our new worldwide customers the same opportunity to customize their bike and express their own creativity, individuality and style.
